The body of Frank McBee, son of Samuel McBee, arrived today from the Philippines, where he died May 20th, 1910. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Jerry Hubbard on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Friends Church.

Lou Stivers and wife were in Miami last Sunday to attend the funeral of the latter's brother, Frank McBee. Frank was born and raised in the Peoria vicinity and had many friends that were pained to hear of his untimely death.

the remains of McBee were buried with military honors at the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami. Several of young classmates who had seen service in the Phillippines and elsewhere, officiated. Messrs. J. A. Cox of Afton Oklahoma, George O. Gibson of Miami, L. Sullivan of Hattenville Oklahoma, A. H. Branderson of Lincolnville Oklahoma, Claud Phelps of Miami, J. H. Haines, S. S. Steinhardt and Fred Pierce of the St. Charles Military College. J. A. Dixon sounded the taps, and the military salute of three volleys were fired over the grave.

The funeral services of McBee were held in the Friend's church on Sunday, Jul 10, 1910, at 2 pm. The friends of the family were invited to be present. Frank McBee died May 20, 1910, at Fort McKinley, Philippines Island, from the effect of an accidental explosion at the fort. He was in the government service, and connected with the heavy artillery division of the army. His remains were shipped to this point by the government and the funeral took place on the above date.
