age 63, died Feb 6, 1937 at Tucson Arizona. Funeral services for Joe Covert, former Commerce Oklahoma patrolman, will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the First Christian church of Commerce. The Rev. C. C. Cockrum will officiate. Covert left Commerce about three years ago. He was at one time a ground boss for one of the district's hard rock lead and zinc mining companies. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Surviving are his wife, Rose Covert; one son, Glenn Covert, of Seminole; two sisters and one brother. Short rites will be held at the grave in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami by Masonic lodge No. 493, of which Covert was a member. Burial will be under direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company, Commerce.
