the remains of Sgt Doyle Woolard, 24 year old son of Mr. James S. Woolard, Ninth avenue northwest, Miami, will arrive at noon Saturday from a military cemetery in France. Sergeant Woolard died in the battle of Normandy on Jun 24, 1944. he entered service in February 1942, and was stationed for 15 months at Camp Wolters Texas. he attended elementary school near Wyandotte Oklahoma was a graduate of the Wyandotte high school. before entering service, he was engaged in farming and stock raising. besides the father, Sergeant Woolard is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jess Teague of Miami. funeal arrangements are incomplete. the Cooper funeral home will be in charge.

Mack Lyons, pastor of the Church of Christ will officiate at rites. Pallbearers will be Danvil Hukkell, Millard Ables, Gilbert Davis, Elmer Peacock, Ivan Masterson and Ora Newberry. the Veterans of foreign Wars of Miami will conduct military rites at the grave. burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery under direction of Cooper funeral home.
