the death of John C. Williams occurred Sunday last at the age of 83 years. He leaves a widow and six children, all grown, all of whom live in this vicinity except two, Albert Williams and Jesse Williams live at Mackeville Kansas; Isaac Williams, Oliver Williams and Abe Williams live near Miami; and Lena Williams at Joplin Missouri. The funeral took place Monday forenoon, interment at the G.A.R. cemetery. Mr. Williams was an old settler of this country. He was born in Kings county New York in 1930. He was in quite poor health since Thanksgiving when he was taken down, gradually growing worse til death came.
