Rogers Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at Missouri Veterans home, Mt. Vernon Missouri. He was 93. Mr. Willard was born September 13, 1904, at Salina, Indian Territory. He moved to Arkansas in 1989, from Goodman Missouri. He worked with his father at a blacksmith's shop in Salina as a youngster. A veteran, he served in the U. S. Navy as a machinist-ship fitter first class. He was employed at Ross Garage, Salina; Eagle Picher Mining Company, Picher Oklahoma; and was a mechanic for Monroe Iron Company. He was a member of the Church of God , Holiness, Apple Glen chapel, Bentonville Arkansas. Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Willard, Rogers Arkansas, Robert Willard, Chula Vista, California, Frank Willard, Mt. Vernon, Jerry Willard, Slidell Louisiana, and Fred Willard Fayetteville Arkansas; four daughters, Dee Ann Barry, Harriet Beechler and Mary Beechler, all of Lost Bridge Village, Arkansas; and LaVeda Baker, Tulsa; 33 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Jewell Willard on Nov 27, 1996; a son, Glen H. Willard, in 1948, an infant daughter, Violet Willard; a brother, Clinton Willard; and three sisters, Rosa Spohn, Eva Thomas and Velma Hanna. The service will be 2 pm Friday, with the Rev. Fred Agee and the Rev. Rodney Gruver officiating. The family will received friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, at Sisco funeral home, Pea Ridge Arkansas. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
