Seaman Second Class Vaughn, age 26, husband of Mrs. Lota Vaughn, 609 P street southeast, died Tuesday at Salton Sea naval air station, Holtville, California. Born in Cardin Oklahoma, the sailor had lived there until he enlisted in the Navy five months ago. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Jerry Wayne and Jimmy Bruce Vaughan of the home, his mother, Mrs. Faye Randall, Baxter Springs Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Garner, Mrs. Erma stone and Mrs. Doris Wynne, all of Cardin, and grandmother, Mrs. M.S. Vaughan of Cardin. The body is being returned to the Cooper funeral home at Miami, from which funeral arrangements will be announced.

Funeral services for Seaman Bruce Wayne Vaughn, 26, who died last Tuesday at Salton Sea naval air station, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the First Baptist church in Cardin. The Rev. Roy Durham and the Rev. Dareing, both of Quapaw Oklahoma will officiate. The body will lie in state at the home of a sister, Mrs. Erma Stone in Cardin, from 4 p. today until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under direction of the Cooper funeral home. Pallbearers will be Roy Bull, Jim Corbett, Walter Berge, Leonard Brown, Marion Stone and Fat Stivers.
