a resident of Miami, 20 years and of Ottawa county, 35 years, William P. Taylor, 63, succumbed to a heart attack Wednesday afternoon at his home, 412 B street southeast. He had been in poor health a long time. A former farmer, Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mrs. May Taylor, of the home; two sons, Glenn Taylor, Hood River Oregon and Leon Taylor, Warrenton Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Obe Edwards, Miami; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of World War I. Arrangements for final rites will be announced by the Cooper funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the Cooper mortuary chapel with the Rev. Arthur Shawgo of Columbus Kansas, officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, with VFW military rites at graveside. Taylor, a retired miner, died Wednesday afternoon in his home. Pallbearers will be Bill T. Edwards, Harry Willard, Abner Taylor and James Kinney. Honorary pallbearers are W. R. Raney, O. M. Overman, J. O. Ramsey, A. C. Ramsey, I. D. Hulvey, Bill Cole, Dr. L. P. Hetherington, Grover Dryer, W. I. Young, Jim Allman and Ralph Kelly.
