Funeral services for Dudley D. Stratton, Sr., 58 year old Picher Oklahoma resident, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union church at Picher. He had been a Picher resident the past 8 years. He passed away Thursday noon at the Picher hospital. The Rev. Pat Smith officiated at the funeral services, with the Rev. J. H. Mott assisting. The local VFW post conducted military rites with the members serving as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Nellie Stratton and Juanita Stratton of the home; two sons, John Stratton of Lovington New Mexico, and Dudley Stratton, Jr., of Picher and one brother Earl J. Stratton, Portales New Mexico. Mr. Stratton came to Picher from Aurora Missouri, and was employed by the American Zinc Company. He was a member of the Picher VFW and the Baptist church. He served overseas in World War I. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under the direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher.
