age 78, of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, formerly of Fairland Oklahoma, died Nov 12, 1999, in a Norman Oklahoma hospital. Born Sep 10, 1921, in Fairland to Ben H. smith and Opal Martha Vann Smith. A veteran, served with the U.S. Army. Worked as a mailman for the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jan Smith of the home; one son, Randy Smith of Portland Oregon; one sister, Norman Jean Wollard of Lawrence Kansas; and one brother, David Van smith of Norman. A graveside service is Monday, Nov 15, 1999, at 10:30 am. The Rev. Gerald Baser will officiate. Paul Thomas funeral home of Miami. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
