37 year old Picher welder, died last night of a heart attack suffered at his home, 527 South Cherokee street, Picher Oklahoma. Seat was stricken about 7:25 p.m. and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Picher hospital. The welder, employed at the Ballard Mine of the St. Louis Mining Company, was a veteran of World War II. He had resided in Picher most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Delavinia Seat; two sons, Alfred, Jr., Seat and Billy Gene Seat, both of the home; a daughter, Bridget E. Seat, also of the home; two brothers, Gene Seat of Commerce Oklahoma and Floyd Seat of Baxter Springs Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. Easter Bolton of Los Angeles and Mrs. Geneva Carmack of Picher. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Thomas funeral home.

Final rites for Alfred E. Seat, will be conducted at the Picher Union church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gerald Masters of Welch Oklahoma will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul Collins, Harry Evans, Roy Bowerman, Kink Davis, Leo Hewitt and Bill Harris. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under direction of the Thomas funeral home. The body will lie in state at the Thomas chapel until the funeral hour. A World War II veteran, Seat died of a heart attack suffered at his home, 527 South Cherokee street, Picher, Wednesday night.
