Sayers, Luther Henry

age 81, died Oct 9, 1999, at his home in Bernice oklahoma. Born Oct 3, 1918, in Tazwell Virginia to Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sayers. He had lived in the Picher Oklahoma most of his life until moving to Bernice three years ago. He was a retired backhoe operator. Mr. Sayer's wife, Jackie, preceded him in death on April 27, 1997. Survivors include two sons, Wiley Sayers, Quapaw Oklahoma and Luther H. Sayers, Jr., of Picher; a daughter, Sandy Walker, Bernice; two sisters, Leion Whitt, Tazwell, and Rosie Ward, Baltimore Maryland; 14 grand-children; and several great-grandchildren. Burial G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, with the Rev. Leonard Stoner officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the NEO Veterans funeral detail. Paul Thomas funeral home, Picher.
