Final rites for Second Lieut. John Rutherford will be conducted at 4 pm Thursday at the First Baptist church in Commerce Oklahoma. The Air force officer died in England on Aug 8, 1944, after being wounded during a bomber mission over enemy territory. The Rev. J. Grover scales and the Rev. Ward Allen will be in charge of funeral services. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery under the direction of the Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce. Military rites at the graveside will be conducted by the Taylor H. Shouse American Legion post No. 308.
