Picher Oklahoma, Jan 21. James A. Rodger, a veteran of the Civil War, died of pneumonia at the home of, Mrs. C. W. Davis, South Ella street, Picher, at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon following an illness of four years. Rodgers was born in Tennessee and would have been 99 years old if he had lived until March. he was a Union soldier during the Civil War, he had only recently applied for a pension, according to his sister. One brother, Thomas Rodgers, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pierce and Mrs. Davis survives. The whereabouts of all relatives except the sister in Picher, are unknown. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

--- Funeral services for James A. Rogers, 99 years old, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. W. Davis, on Etta street, Picher at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon were held from the Todd undertaking chapel, Monday afternoon at 2:00. Burial will be made in the G.A.R. section of the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Note: There could be two Davis names, C. W. or D. W. or the same person with a mistake.
