Provine, James Paul "Perky"

Funeral services for Ensign James Paul "Perky" Provine, 22 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Provine, 118 H street northwest, who was killed late Saturday night in a plane crash in Florida will be held here at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist church. the Rev. Ben Sturdivant and the Rev. Harry W. Curtis will officiate. the body of young Provine is expected to arrive in Miami by train Wednesday noon. Pallbearers will be Owen Smith, Charles West, Stratton Henley, John Vincent, Sam Hoffman, Jr. and Tommy Walker. the Floyd L. Perry post of the American Legion will conduct military services at the grave. burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery in charge of the Cooper's funeral home.
