Minson, James William

age 67, of commerce Oklahoma, died Oct 28, 2001, at a Tulsa Oklahoma hospital. Born Dec 21, 1933, in Neosho Missouri to Vernon W. Minson and Allene Vanover Minson. He moved to Commerce when he was 6. He attended Commerce schools, grading in 1952. He co-owned and operated Minson's supermarket in Commerce from 1958 to 1973, with his wife. He left the market after 15 years and became director of meat operations for the Warehouse Market, in Tulsa Oklahoma, from 1973 to 1984. He worked for Canadian Valley Meat Company, Oklahoma City, from 1984 until retiring in 1990...survivors include his wife, Shirley Minson; two daughters and their husbands, Maria Grindstaff and Roy Grindstaff. A veteran, he enlisted and served in the U. S. Airborn from 1956 to 1958. Guilford-Thomas funeral home, Commerce. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
