the body of Tech Sergeant William G. "Gib" Doty, who was killed in Action at the age of 26 years near St. Lo, France on Jul 14, 1944, will arrive in Miami for services and re-burial at 1:25 pm Saturday. Survivors include is parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Doty, formerly of Miami and now living in Tucson Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Kain of Tucson, and Mrs. Lila Williams of North Jackson, Ohio; five brothers, Jack V. Doty of Tucson, Lester Doty, Sammy Doty, James Doty and Craig Doty, all of the home, and his grandmother, Mrs. Katie Doty of Miami. Funeral services will be announced by the Cooper funeral home.

Final rites for T/Sgt. William G. "Gib" Doty will be held at 2 pm Monday in the chapel of the Cooper funeral home. Doty was killed in July of 1944, near St. Lo, France, while serving with the U.S. Army. The Rev. M. R. Dareing will officiate at rites. Pallbearers will be former Miami high school classmates of the World War II casualty; Ray Hargrove and Lee Hargove, Eli Dry, Francis Rickman, Glen Robylier and Gene Carroll. Military rites will be conducted by the Miami Veterans of Foreign Wars post at the graveside in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
