age 77, died at 4:15 am Sep 17, 1999, at the Miami hospital. Born Mar 18, 1922, in Picher Oklahoma to Charles Covington and Dolly Rader Covington. Graduated from Commerce Oklahoma. He worked for B. F. Goodrich at Miami for 37 and a half years before retiring in 1984. A veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Married Lula "Binky"' Witte on Aug 26, 1955, in Miami, she survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Gwen Morgan and husband Ladell "Fuzzie" Morgan, Jr. of Columbus Kansas and Toni Cosgrove of Keokuk Iowa; three grandchildren, Marianne Medina of Joplin, Cheryl Kelley of Columbus and David Scott Butler of Keokuk; four great-grandchildren, Travis Robinson, Morgan Ashpole, Brooke Kelley and Zoe Medina; a cousin, Jeanette McCaulley of Waco Texas and several nieces and nephews, Frances Wiese, Billy Bagnell, Jimmy Bagnell, John Bagnell, Bryan Bagnell, Kathy Bagnell, Terry Miller, Pat Taffner, David Wiese, Glenda Wiese and Emily Ruthann Allred. Services at Cooper-Althouse funeral home with Rev. Bob Rabel officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jerry VonMoss. Pallbearers will be Ladell Morgan, Jr., Jim Bagnell, John Bagnell, Bill Bagnell, Bryan Bagnell and Glenn Wiese. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Downing, Harold "Robbie" Robertson and Glenn Summers. Cooper-Althouse funeral home. Memorial to Oklahoma Lung Association. Burial in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
