Benson, John Lloyd

age 26, Douthat Oklahoma, a veteran, died from auto accident injuries 2 miles north of Quapaw Oklahoma. Mr. Benson served in the U.S. Army for 2 years and 8 months. He spent a year and a half in Europe with the 1254 Engineer combat battalion. Surviving are five sisters, Erma Benson of Douthat, Treva Benson, Picher Oklahoma, Mrs. Jewell McGoyne, Commerce Oklahoma, Mrs. Ruth Hawk, Picher, Helen Benson, Salinas California, and three brothers including Morris Benson of Salinas. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery in Miami Oklahoma.
