201 South Francis Street, Picher Oklahoma, was taken ill yesterday while at work at the Tom Brown Mine, and was forced to give up his work and be taken home. He suffered several severe hemorrhages yesterday. His condition is regarded as serious.

Virg Younger, 201 South Francis Street, is much improved from a several weeks' illness, following a serious hemorrhage of the lungs while at work in the mines. Mrs. Younger, who has been ill of sinus trouble for some time, will undergo an operation at a Joplin hospital early the coming week.

Picher Oklahoma. Virg Wilburn Younger, 52 years old, one of the early miners of the Picher district, died at 6:45 o'clock this morning at his home at Rubenstein apartments, Third and Main Streets. Death followed a long illness. He was one of the oldest employees of the Eagle-Picher Mining and Smelting Company, with whom he was employed as ground foreman most of his 18 years's residence in Picher. He was forced to discontinue working in the mines some weeks ago. Mr. Younger was born at Ledlow Missouri, Oct 9, 1882. He came to Picher from Joplin Missouri, where he also worked in the mines for a number of years. Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. May Younger; one daughter, Mrs. Claude Stice of Miami Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Lou Ella Mae Stice, 5 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stice; one brother, Earl Younger of Picher; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Rambo and Mrs. Abe McCormak of Columbus Kansas, and Mrs. Del Coolie of Oronogo Missouri; four nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be conducted at the Union church at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with the pastor, the Rev. Wesley Post, officiating. Pallbearers will be Louis Sug' Schofield, Claude Jones, G. C. Niday, M. L. Wolsey, F. W. Mizer and Charles Houghton. Funeral services will be in charge of the Durnil funeral home, Picher. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas.
