Definite information was received here Sunday concerning the death and funeral of Water Young, 56, a resident of Picher Oklahoma for the past 15 years, but of late a resident of Redlands California, where he died Aug 11, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bob Cooper. For a number of years he was employed by the Eagle-Picher Mining and Smelting Company. Upon learning of the seriousness of his illness, his wife, Mrs. Flora Young left Monday, Aug 10, for California but did not arrive until after his death. He was a member of the Picher lodge of IOOF. Surviving besides his wife, are three children, Mrs. Jack Parker, Seminole Oklahoma, Mrs. Bob Cooper, Redlands, and Wilburn Young of Picher. Two brothers, Esther Young, Excelsion Springs Missouri and a brother at Bristow Oklahoma whose name was not available here; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Cape, Eureka Springs Arkansas, and Mrs. Cora Roberts, Treece Kansas. Burial was in Redlands Saturday.
