48 years old, died at his home 416 South Mineral avenue, yesterday afternoon at 4. Death was due to asthma. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Woods, and seven children: John Woods, Severance Kansas, and Matt Woods, Mrs. Lottie Thurman, Dan Woods, Mrs. Clancey Hanback, Elmer Woods and Mary Woods, all at home, a sister, Mrs. Amanda Cressey, lives at Carterville Missouri. The body is at the Green undertaking parlors at Picher Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Note: It is not clear if Mr. Woods worked in the mines. According to records his son, Matt Woods, was a miner in 1931.

The funeral was held from the family home at 10 this morning. The Rev. W. D. Cater, pastor of the First Methodist church, conducted the services and burial was in the Carterville Missouri, cemetery by the Green undertaking company.
