retired lead and zinc miner and resident of this community for the past 35 years, died in Miami Baptist hospital at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. Woods, 86, had lived with a son, Charles Woods, 324 C Street southeast, Miami. Other survivors include three sons, Earl Woods, Miami, and Walter Woods and Lester Woods, both of Joplin Missouri; five daughters, Mrs. Pearl Stanley, Vallejo California; Mrs. Ethel Scoles and Mrs. Welma Hinds, both of Miami; Mrs. Edith Smith, Pacific Junction Iowa, and Mrs. Sylvia Jackson, Prescott Washington, 41 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of God, 308 South Main Street, Miami, at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Joseph Neden will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of the Hutchins funeral home.
