57, a retired miner, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Miami Baptist hospital following a long illness. He had resided on West A Street in Picher Oklahoma. Wood, a resident of Picher since 1923, retired with declining health about two and one-half years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Wood; two sons, Brady M. Wood of Commerce Oklahoma and Glen Dale Wood of Tulsa Oklahoma; four daughters, Mrs. George Dopp of Commerce, Mrs. Colleen Vandiver of Picher, Mrs. Gladys Johnson of Palm Desert California, and Mrs. Lucille Davis of Long Beach California; his father, R. A. Wood of Picher; three brothers, Arthur Wood of Picher, Arbrary Wood of Phoenix Arizona, and Fred Wood of Washington state; two sisters, Mrs. Valia Morgan of Branson Missouri, and Mrs. Vaugh Fitch of Phoenix, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Thomas funeral home, Picher.

Funeral services for Robert E. 'Bugger' Wood, 57 year old Picher miner who died Tuesday, will be conducted at the Assembly of God church in Picher at 2 p. m. Saturday. The Rev. Henry Horn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Green, Verle Goddard, Raymond Burke, John Carmack, Ray Fuller and Logan Wood. The body will lie in state at the family home on West A Street in Picher until the funeral hour. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Thomas funeral home.
