Funeral services for J. G. Wimberly, 78 year old retired lead and zinc miner, will be conducted at the Hunter chapel in Picher Oklahoma at 1 pm Monday. The Rev. R. J. Palmer, pastor of the First Methodist church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Beaver, Claud Stout, Burr Aton, Tobe Renick, Jerry Feezell and Clarence Houston. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. The body will lie in state at the chapel until the funeral hour. A resident of Picher for 30 years, Wimberly died in a rest home at 201 North Vine Street in Commerce Oklahoma at 6:45 pm Friday. Before moving to the Commerce rest home a year ago, he lived for six years in a rest home operated by Mrs. Maude Dugan in Picher. Survivors include two sons, Howard Wimberly of Commerce and R. L. Wimberly of Wood Wisconsin; four daughters, Mrs. Curtis Ellis of Commerce, Mrs. G. D. Lokey of Palm City California, Mrs. Guy Albertson of Welch West Virginia, and Mrs. M. J. Brown of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Snyder of Troutdale Oregon; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
