32 years old, died at 8:45 o'clock Monday morning at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Douthit, in the Sunnyside district, south of Baxter Springs Kansas following an illness of three months duration. He had been a patient in St. John's hospital in Joplin Missouri for about a week, but had been returned to the Douthit home Sunday. Mr. Wilson was born in the Sunnyside district and had lived most of his life in Baxter Springs. He was employed in the mining field for a number of years having worked for several years for the Century Zinc Company. For the last several months he had been engaged in drilling at Centralia Illinois, and was there when he was forced to return home because of illness three months ago. He was a member of the First Christian church. Surviving are one son, Richard Lee Wilson; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson, of Baxter Springs; three brothers, George Wilson, Albert Wilson and Warren Wilson, all of Baxter Springs; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Boyd of Baxter Springs and Mrs. G. J. Youngcamp of Topeka Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Christian church in Baxter Springs with the Rev. R. Denton officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell Kansas cemetery, under the direction of the Hoskins funeral home.
