40 years old, World War I veteran and ground foreman of the Scott Mine of the Century Zinc Company for several years, died Friday in an Albuquerque New Mexico hospital. Wilfley, who resided at 604 Cherokee avenue in Baxter Springs Kansas, had been in ill health for eight months. He was a Baxter resident for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wilfley and two daughters, Dorothy Wilfley and Doris Wilfley both of the home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Baxter Methodist church. The Rev. William A. Hubbard and the Rev. H. Ellis Ogden will officiate. Masonic rites will be conducted. Burial will be in Baxter Springs cemetery under direction of the Harvey undertaking company. The body will lie in state at the Wilfley home from 10 am today until hour of the funeral.
