a 45 year old Picher Oklahoma miner died suddenly early Sunday morning at the City Hall where he had been taken a few hours previous by city officials. According to a physician, death was attributed to a heart seizure. A resident of 202 South Emily Street, Picher he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Georgia Whitaker of Picher; two brothers, Perry Whitaker of Granby Missouri and Bill Whitaker of Bishop California; and five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Harron, Sarcoxie Missouri, Mrs. Anna Carline, Gardinvallie California, Mrs. Nora Harriman of Picher, Mrs. Mary Dixon of Seaside California and Mrs. Alice Rickman Baxter Springs. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Church of God church in Granby Missouri with Rev. Bob Ogles officiating and burial was in a Granby cemetery under the direction of the Goodson-Durnil funeral home, Picher.
