Wheeler, Finis

Shots fired during the rioting at the Galena Kansas smelter this morning resulted in the wounding of Finis Wheeler of Carterville Missouri, steel sharpener at the Admiralty Mine at Douthat Oklahoma. A report said Wheeler was wounded in the leg as he and several other men who work in the mines were driving through Galena to reach their employment sites. The wound was not serious. The man or men who fired the shots had not been apprehended early this afternoon. It could not be learned whether Wheeler was immediately removed to his home or whether he was taken to a hospital. He was unable to work at the Admiralty.
