45 years old, died here at 7:30 o'clock this morning following an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Wells had been skid man at the Annie Beaver Mine. He was a Thirty- second Degree Mason and a member of the M.W.A. and Brotherhood of American Yeomen lodges at Joplin Missouri. He is survived by a father, J. E. Wells of 1702 Connor avenue, Joplin; a son, Buford Wells and two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Palmer of Long Beach California, and Mrs. C. E. Summers of Duenweg Missouri. The body will be taken to Joplin today for burial. The funeral will be held Saturday, with the Masonic lodge in charge.
