64011 East 57 Road, Quapaw Oklahoma, died Tuesday, Oct 1, 1996, at his home. He was 87. Mr. Watson was born Aug 31, 1909, in Oklahoma Indian Territory to Gus Watson and Josephine Redeagle Watson. He lived in the Quapaw area all his life. He was a miner and truck driver for Eagle-Picher Mining Company and Tri-State Trucking. He was a member of American Native church and the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma. He married Margarite Elmary Kennedy on Apr 7, 1933, at Miami. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest A. Prophet. Survivors include four daughters, Jose Fore, Mary Ellen Stasell, and Georgie Ann Owens, all of Quapaw, and Martha Jane Logan, Bernice Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services are pending with the Paul Thomas funeral home, Picher. The body will lie in state at the home until service time.

...Services will be 10 am, Friday, Oct 4 at the Paul Thomas funeral home Chapel, Picher, with Floyd Ford officiating. Indian graveside rites will be in the Greenback cemetery, conducted by Leonard Smith. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. The body will lie in state at the home until service time. Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas funeral home Chapel, Picher Oklahoma.
