Abstract Data

47 years old, a former resident of Treece Kansas, died at his home in Wichita Kansas, at 3:30 a.m. Monday. A miner and lumberman, he lived in Treece for 25 years before moving to Wichita in 1944. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Watson; a daughter, Marlene Watson, and a son, Claria Watson, all of Wichita; a brother, Morel Watson of Lowell Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Jones of Joplin Missouri; his mother, Mrs. Cressie Watson of Lowell, and a grandson. Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church in Melrose Kansas, at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Henry Ford of Picher and Reverend Cole of Pittsburg Kansas, will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Dungan and William Dungan, Earl Mayfield, Frank Lybarger, Kenneth Tucker and Amon Medlin. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under direction of the Goodson-Durnil funeral home, Picher.
