43 year old miner and construction worker, died at his home on Miami Route 1 at 4:50 a.m. today after an illness of about five years. Ward, who had lived on Miami Route 1 since 1941, was a member of the Friends church and the Masonic lodge here. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Audrey Ward of the home; a brother, Robert Ward, Jr., of Artesia New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Scott of Kansas City Missouri, Mrs. Grace Perry of Quapaw Oklahoma and Mrs. Freda Collins of Klammath Falls Oregon, and his father, Robert Ward, Sr., of Picher Oklahoma. Funeral services will be conducted at the Friends church in Miami at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Preston Roberts and the Rev. John Havens will officiate. Burial will be in the Ottawa Oklahoma cemetery under direction of the Hutchins Miami funeral home.
