Prospectors are sinking several shafts on the Wells Land, three quarters of a mile north of Bell Center, where Leo Riley and associates are developing a lead mine. Among the prospectors sinking on the land are Grover Bullard and Victor Brown; Narus Ward and Albert Barker; and Albert Stice and Matt Leach. Frank Walker and associates have repaired an old shaft on the lease and have now commenced underground development.
