Abstract Data

a Picher miner, was held up Friday night at Third and Emily Streets, Picher Oklahoma, and robbed of $9.50 by two men. One of the men covered Vasser with a gun while the other searched his pockets and helped himself to what money he could find. The holdup took place shortly after 11 o'clock. Vasser was on his way to the home of his father-in-law, F. J. Williams, Mineral Heights addition, Picher, to join his wife, on their return to their home on the Picher-Cardin Oklahoma highway. According to a description furnished officers in Vasser's report to police, the hi-jackers were young men, one rather tall and the other of medium height. Both were said to be wearing dark suits and dark hats. Authorities were unable to obtain any trace of the two men.
