74 year old retired miner, died at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon in Freeman hospital at Joplin Missouri. A long-time resident of Picher Oklahoma, his home was at 440 South Treece Street. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Vantreese; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Gregory, Treece Kansas, and Mrs. Clyde Norman, Kansas City Missouri; two sons, W. E. Vantreese, Saticoy California, and Earl Vantreese Kansas City; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Miami. Elders D. F. Kyser and Alvin Smith will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of Goodson-Durnil funeral home.
