39 year old Tri-State district lead and zinc miner, dropped dead at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday while conducting business in the office of Mrs. Ethel Lawrence, justice of the peace, here. Dr. Glenn W. Cosby, Miami physician who examined the body at Miami Baptist hospital at about 8:30 p.m. said the Cardin Oklahoma resident apparently had died of a heart attack. A resident of the district for the last 20 years, Vancuren had been employed by the Cameron-Henderson Mining Company since 1940. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Vancuren of the home in Cardin; two sons, Ray Vancuren and Gene Vancuren; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Davidson of Chelsea Oklahoma, Mrs. Herman Grant of Union Gap Washington, and Mrs. Grace Brown of Joplin Missouri, and three brothers, Roy Vancuren of Chelsea Oklahoma, Bill Vancuren of Collinsville Oklahoma, and Oscar Vancuren of Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Funeral services will be announced by the Goodson-Durnil funeral home, Picher.
