Funeral services for David Henry Vader, 36 years old, a Baxter Springs Kansas miner, who died early Sunday morning at Mt. Carmel hospital in Pittsburg Kansas, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Assembly of God church in Baxter. The services were conducted by the Rev. Dow Booe of Galena. Burial was in Burkhart cemetery at Racine Missouri under the direction of the Harvey funeral home. Pallbearers were Charles Hunt, Jesse Hodge, Rufus Mitchell, Glenn Rowling, Bob Robb and Tilden Pruitt. Mr. Vader came to Baxter Springs 10 years ago from Spurgeon Missouri, where he was born. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lula Vader; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Vader of Baxter Springs; three brothers, Delbert Vader of Joplin Missouri, Dan Vader of Galena Kansas and Dennis Vader, who is stationed at Camp Beale, California and four daughters, Mrs. Maude Hunt of Cardin Oklahoma, Mrs. Elsie Mitchell, Mrs. Mazie Keeling and Mrs. Daisy Hodge of Baxter Springs.
