Baxter Springs Kansas, died at 11:52 pm Wednesday, Oct 4, 2000, at the Brady Building Care Unit, Joplin Missouri. He was 90. Mr. Tucker was born Apr 27, 1910, at Bolivar Missouri to Tom Tucker and Etta Pitman Tucker. He moved to Treece Kansas when he was 9. He was a graduate of Columbus Kansas High School. He owned and operated a grocery store in Treece, with his wife; and owned and operated the Nancy Jane Mine tour, south of Picher Oklahoma, with George Van Pool. He operated mining ventures in the Tri-State area for several years...He married Mary Dungan on May 4, 1939, at Kansas City Missouri. She preceded him in death on Nov 22, 1997. Survivors include a nephew and his wife, Jim and Martha Dungan, Baxter Springs Kansas; two nieces and their husbands, Mary Lou Kiser and Tom Kiser, Drumright Oklahoma, and Billie Lynn Odom and Bryan Odom, Overland Park Kansas; and a cousin and her husband, Billie Hutchenson and Gene Hutchenson, Bolivar. The service is 1 pm Saturday... Pallbearers are: Isaac Zeke' Rhodes, Jim Jennings, Johnny Sparkman, Robert Evans, Jack Crocker, and John Mott. Honorary pallbearers are George Van Pool, Benny Edmondson, Jack Dinger, Wayne Cole, Charles Neal, Dean Stumbaugh, Doyle Reynolds, Dale McNemar, Elmo Burrows, Dwight Pierce, Orville Shipley, Alan Mathews, Warren Wilbur, Roy Owens, and Luke Warbington.
