Picher, Oklahoma. Bert Elwood Todd, 38 years old, a resident of Picher for many years, died at his home, 612 South Picher Street, this morning after a long illness. He had been in Picher for 15 years, moving here from Webb City Missouri. Besides his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Todd, he is survived by a daughter Evalyn Todd of the home; his mother Mrs. Bessie Todd of Picher, and one sister, Mrs. O. W. Sparks of Picher. Todd was a member and past chancellor of the Knights of Pythias order. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Todd undertaking company, Picher is in charge.

Funeral services for Bert Elwood Todd, 38 years old, 612 South Picher Street, Picher, who died yesterday, will be conducted at the First Methodist church as 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. Robert Nichols, pastor of the Assembly of God church, will officiate. Burial will be at Carterville Missouri. Mr. Todd was born at Webb City. He began working in the mines of the Webb City district when still a boy. He came to Picher about 15 years ago, since which time he worked mostly in the mines. He worked for two years as a pumper at the municipal water plant, discontinuing in such position a year and a half ago. In 1925 he was nominated as the Republican candidate for city clerk, but was defeated in the final election. ..

Mrs. Todd was born in Lucas county Iowa. The daughter of the late Rev. W. H. Gibson, pastor of the Church of Christ at Webb City. Burial will be at Carterville Missouri.

Picher, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bessie Roselle Todd, 59 years old, died at 9:20 am today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zeke Sparks, 326 North Connell avenue, Picher. She had been in ill health for five years. For the last four years she had made her home with Mrs. Sparks. Surviving, in addition to this daughter, are four other daughters, Mrs. Effie McKibben of Picher, Mrs. Lula Lassiter of Kansas City, Mrs. Jannie Lassiter of Webb City Missouri, Mrs. George Barclay, also of Webb City, and Mrs. A. P. McCully of Royal Oak, Maryland. Before she came to Picher, Mrs. Todd had lived in Wedd City for many years. She was the daughter of the late Rev. W. H. Gibson, who was pastor of the church of Christ at Webb City. She was the mother of Bert Todd, well-known Picher miner, who died two years ago.
