75 year old retired hard rock lead and zinc miner, died shortly after entering Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma, early Sunday morning. He had been ill a short time. Thompson had been a resident here for 35 years. He came to the United States from Copenhagen Denmark, as a boy. Survivors include his wife, Julia Thompson of the home, 611 North Francis Street, Picher; five sons, Robert Thompson, North Miami; Jack Thompson, Phillipsburg Missouri; Kenneth Thompson, Marysville California; Carl Raymond Thompson, Bloomer Wisconsin; and Harold Lloyd Thompson, Chicago; six daughters, Mrs. Eva Waller, Mrs. Mary E. Thomas, Mrs. Anna Mae Weaver, all of Chicago, Mrs. Margaret Gibson, New York City, Mrs. Evva Kasprick, Brainerd Minnesota and Mrs. Adeline Collins, Picher; a brother, Aley Thompson, Ringville Minnesota; four sisters, Mrs. Arvina Oskes, Ringville Minnesota, Mrs. Emma Busby, Anderson Missouri, Mrs. Clara Erickerson, Bremerton Washington, and Mrs. Mary Patterson, Calabasos California; 53 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Hunter funeral home.
