Thompson, John

of rural Grove Oklahoma, died Monday, Sep 11, 2000, at his residence on Grand Lake, near the Cowskin arm of the lake. Mr. Thompson was born Feb 23, 1925, in Picher Oklahoma to John T. Thompson and Susie Williams Thompson. He had lived in the Picher area most of his life before moving to Grand Lake. He worked as a miner and construction worker before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II. He leaves no known survivors. The funeral service for Mr. Thompson is Tuesday, Sep 19, at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas funeral home in Picher. The Rev. Clyde Stilley will officiate. Interment is in the G.A.R. cemetery in Miami. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Thomas funeral home.
