30 years old, died Monday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Thomas, 415 North Vine, Commerce Oklahoma, after an extended illness, from tuberculosis. He had been in poor health several months, having been compelled to give up his work as a miner in the Jay Bird Mine last summer. He had worked in many other mines of the district previously and was well known and highly respected over the district. His father has been justice of peace at Commerce several years. Perry Thomas was confined to his bed three months prior to his death. He was unmarried and is survived by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. The brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Hattie Cornel, Douthat Oklahoma, Mrs. Anna Doty and Mrs. Laura Jones, both of Commerce, the brothers; Edwin H. Thomas, a farmer near Peck Kansas; Barney Thomas a meat cutter at Commerce, and Ollie Thomas who is at home. The unfortunate young man was born July 30, 1890, in McDonald county Missouri, and moved with his parents to Ottawa county Indian Territory Oklahoma, October 1, 1891, where the family has since resided. Funeral services will be held from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 and burial will be made at 3 at G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, with a short service at the grave.
