James A. Teeter, 86, a Commerce Oklahoma resident for 48 years, died at 12:10 am today in a Commerce nursing home. Mr. Teeter, a retired mine driller and former Commerce water superintendent, was born Oct 23, 1879, at Brighton Missouri. He was a member of the Commerce Methodist church and was a 32nd degree Mason of the Commerce lodge. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leland Hutchens, of Commerce; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the First Methodist church, Commerce, with the Rev. R. W. Highley officiating. Burial will be in Miami's G.A.R. cemetery, under the direction of the Jim Thomas funeral home, Commerce. Pallbearers will be Marvin Lee, Roy Patton, Cecil Smith, E. R. Geren, Lloyd Lee and Sam Potts.
