Funeral services for George M. Teeter, 77 year old retired Eagle-Picher Company employee, were to be conducted at the Mitchelson chapel at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Franklin Simmons was to officiate. Burial was to be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Mr. Teeter died at his home, 310 North Vine Street, Commerce Oklahoma at midnight Saturday after a lingering illness. A resident of the Quapaw Oklahoma and Commerce communities since 1905, Mr. Teeter worked for various mining companies in the area for many years before he joined the Eagle-Picher company on June 12, 1935, as a member of the Central Mill staff. He retired on May 1, 1953. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Teeter of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Kugler of Tulsa Oklahoma, and Mrs. Ruth Short of Russell Kansas; two brothers, James A. Teeter of Commerce, and Charles F. Teeter of Joplin Missouri; a step- daughter, Mrs. Neva Rowland, also of Joplin, and five grandchildren.
