Taylor, Marion Henderson

Abstract Data

Picher Oklahoma. Two men staged a holdup Friday night on East Third Street in which Marion Bub' Taylor, living in the 200 block on South Ethel Street, Picher was robbed of $14.05. The holdup occurred on the Frisco railroad track at a point between Emily and Alta Streets, Picher, shortly after 9 o'clock as Taylor was returning home from the downtown district. One of the bandits stepped from behind a boxcar as Taylor approached and covered him with a revolver, ordering him to throw up his hands. The second highwayman then appeared and searched Taylor. Taylor was then ordered to proceed east on the railroad track and warned not to look back until he had gone at least a block. The robbery was reported to police as soon as possible, but officers were unable to find any trace of the holdup pair. Only a meager description was obtained by Taylor of the two men. Taylor is a miner.
