of Carterville Missouri, engineer at the Ramage Mine, south of Picher Oklahoma, had a narrow escaped from serious and possible fatal injuries early Sunday morning when struck by a motor car on highway between Carterville and Webb City Missouri shortly before he was to board a Street car for Picher. He received severe bruises and cuts to his head, face and one leg, being rendered in a dazed condition for several minutes. Mr. Taylor after some minutes was able to resume walking to the point where he boarded a Street car for Picher, and after arriving here went to American hospital for an examination and treatment of his injuries. His condition did not permit his working at the Ramage Mine yesterday, but he was able however today to be at his post and supervise work in the engine room. Mr. Taylor stated that he was walking on the left side of the highway at the time of the accident and that he was struck by a car approaching from the rear, which was on the wrong side of the road.
