44 years old, died at 9:30 this morning at the Hammond hotel. He is survived by two brothers, Wilson E. Tavis of Picher Oklahoma and Willard Tavis of Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the chapel of the Green undertaking company. The Rev. D. W. Brashear pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Miami cemetery under the direction of Green undertaking company.

The funeral of Charles Everett Tavis, 44 years old, who died Monday night at a local boarding house, was held at the chapel of the Green undertaking company at 2 this afternoon. The Rev. D. W. Brashear, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated and burial was in the Miami cemetery.
