Funeral services for William L. Swindle, 71 year old Baxter Springs Kansas, resident, will be conducted in the first Christian church there at 2 pm Monday. The Rev. Albert M. Jones and the Rev. F. M. Wheatley will officiate. Burial will be in Baxter Springs Kansas cemetery under direction of the Wene funeral home. The body will lie in state at the chapel until the funeral hour. A former resident of Quapaw Oklahoma, Swindle died at his home in Baxter Springs Thursday. He had been a resident of Baxter for the last 24 years. The retired mine hoisterman is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Swindle of the home; a daughter, Mrs. R. M. Wilch of Whittier California; three sons, William Loyd Swindle of Wichita Kansas, the Rev. Cecil L. Swindle of Great Bend Kansas, and Neil Swindle of Joplin Missouri, and four grandchildren.
