Final rites for Henry Strickland of Picher Oklahoma, 55 year old retired miner and advertising salesman, will be conducted at the Assembly of God church here at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Henry Horn will officiate. Burial will be in the Hale cemetery, near Neosho Missouri, under direction of the Robinson-Hunter funeral home. The body will lie in state at the mortuary chapel until the funeral hour. A resident of Picher since 1932, Strickland died unexpectedly at his home in the southeast section of the city at about midnight Friday. He was a member of the Pentecostal church in Quapaw Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Strickland of the home; four sons, David Strickland of Cardin Oklahoma, Pvt. Ray Strickland serving with the Army in Korea, Bill Eugene Strickland of Kansas City Missouri, and Charles Strickland of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Davis of Houston Texas, Mrs. Joan Burkeybile of Kansas City Missouri, and Miss Susie Ann Strickland of the home; a brother, Guy Strickland of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Mathis of Wewoka Oklahoma, Mrs. Nana McBride of Treece Kansas, and Mrs. Effie Wheeler of Columbus Kansas, and three grandchildren.
