Stephens, age 87, of 314 B southeast, Miami, died at 6:30 am today at his home following a long illness. He was born Sept 23, 1887, in Arkansas and moved to Miami in 1900 from Commerce Oklahoma. Mr. Stephens was employed for 45 years as a machinist with the Eagle-Picher Company, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the First Christian church and the Bethel Sunday school class. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Della Stephens, of the home, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Ferguson, Commerce. Services will be announced by the Cooper funeral home.

Services for Austin Stephens, Miami, who died Tuesday, will be Friday at 2 pm at the Cooper funeral home chapel with Don Basye officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herb Sherard, Otis Lacey, Claude Hicks Jr., Harley Hicks, Glen Hale and Claude Hale.
